Steve and Maggie Jacobus made a life-changing decision when they opted to move with their three boys (above: Michael, 10; Will, 8; and Ryan, 12) in September, 2005 from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA to Nosara, Costa Rica. The goals for the move were to have an intensive family adventure experience while the boys were still young, to learn Spanish together and to foster the boys' passion for the natural world.
